THE 12TH ANNUAL CELEBRITYS SWEAT SOFTBALL CHALLENGE®
HEADS TO SAN DIEGO
Thank you to everyone who came out to support the 12th Annual Celebrity Sweat Softball Challenge® led by Honorary Captains Steve Garvey (MLB All-Star Legend) and Kurt Bevacqua (Padres Alum Favorite) was at San Diego University on Saturday, July 9th.
Celebrity Sweat®, the #1 celebrity based health & wellness brand leads the charge once again this year bringing athletes and celebrities together to showcase the best balance between fitness and nutrition.
This year’s event will be in support of the All-Star Vets and the San Diego Fire Department.
Celebrity captains this year included Welterweight Champion Victor Ortiz and NBA All-Star Legend Robert Horry.
Garvey and Bevacqua worke hand-in-hand with Ortiz and Horry to put a star-studded line-up together, which included a combination of NFL, NHL and NBA players mixed together with hip-hop singers, entertainers, UFC Fighters and WWE Wrestlers. Leading off was Jason Verrett and Jahleel Addae (Chargers). Also a (Chargers Alum favorite) Shawne Merriman jumped into the mix in addition to Chase Reynolds (Rams), Phil Goldberg (former NFL player/UFC), the (#1 gamer in the world) Fatality – undefeated. Also (LA Kings favorite) Daryl Evans, (St. Louis Cardinals Alum) Vince Coleman, (NFL Alum favorite) Willie Gault, and (World’s Strongest Man) Robert Oberst.
An anchor at this year’s Celebrity Softball Challenge once was Tae Bo® creator Billy Blanks who was in town with Celebrity Sweat training the San Diego Fire and Rescue Teams and joining the Celebrity Softball Challenge.
Participating from Hollywood was (from the Blindside) Quinton Aaron, (from Ray Donovan and Scarface) Steven Bauer, (from the HBO show Ballers), Brock O’Hurn, Cazzey Cereghino. Also playing was Warner Bros. recording artist Jake Miller.
