National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic 2017
All Star Vets had the honor of serving over 100 participants, coaches and team leaders in a friendly competition made up of 8 different games aka The All Star Vets Backyard Sports Olympics.
Veterans from across the country were treated to fun and exciting competition as they worked their way through a timed course competing mainly against themselves as they overcame disabilities, obstacles and worked together as a team to inspire each other.
The National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic Program (NVSSC) gives Veterans with disabilities an opportunity for self development and challenge through education and recreational activities. It promotes rehabilitation by teaching summer sporting activities to Veterans with significant physical or psychological impairments.
It was a great week of service for All Star Vets as we served three different generations of veterans which made this one of our highlights for 2017!!
